MORBO K
 TV SERIES | 6 EPISODES

The series revisits a little-known yet extraordinary chapter of Italian history, set in Rome during the Nazi occupation, when a group of doctors at the Fatebenefratelli hospital on Tiber Island devised a plan to save dozens of Jews from deportation.

Directed by Francesco Patierno, it focuses on the creation of the so-called Morbo K — an illness invented to intimidate the Nazis and turn a hospital ward into a safe haven. It’s a story of civic resistance that brings the deeper meaning of memory into focus through individual choices, reminding us that even in the darkest moments, humanity can become an act of salvation.
